Date night doesn't have to be expensive or even at night!
Consider things like:
* breakfast in bed
* taking a drive and talking
* taking a walk for ice-cream
* walking through the mall and window shopping
* putting on music and just holding each other on the couch
* riding bikes
* playing a board game
* watching a sunset and eating take-out
The important thing is taking time away from the other people and responsibilities in your world to focus on each other. If you find yourself being irritable at each other, it may just be that you have not had a lot of one-on-one time together in a relaxed atmosphere.
What are your ways of spending time with your mate?
Our ways is breakfast together, walk together and just being together. the most important though is to say nice things to each other and touch and touch and touch and look at each other with love in one's eyes.

Hi Joy,
DeleteSounds delightfully intimate :-)! Thanks for sharing!
So true. It doesn't have to cost anything to really connect with our husbands, but it does sometimes require some creativity when there are so many distractions. Thanks for this reminder. Gail (BibleLoveNotes.com)
ReplyDeleteHi Gail,
DeleteThanks for your post. One of the best "dates" my husband and I have had was when we had car trouble and ended up talking together while waiting for car service at a little table in a gas station. It was our first date. Although we didn't make it to where we were going, it is a great memory and all it cost us was a couple of small bags of chips and two iced teas, lol!
I really love your list; great ideas!
ReplyDeleteThanks and blessings to you~
Thanks, LeAnn! Glad you enjoy!
